158 Panoramic Sliding + Sunroom — Poly Longwan Chengdu

Panoramic minimalist sliding doors + custom-engineered aluminum sunroom for Poly's Longwan Garden luxury townhouses. The 1.8mm slim sight-line preserved the garden view; the sunroom added 30% usable living area.

The Challenge

Chengdu buyers at this price point demand "picture-frame" style views — meaning the aluminum profile has to nearly disappear against the garden. But Sichuan's basin climate has extreme humidity swings and monsoon rain patterns that demand sealing sophistication most slim systems can't deliver.

The Solution

We deployed our 158 Panoramic Minimalist Sliding with the 1.8mm ultra-slim profile variant, paired with a custom 120 Aluminum Systematic Sunroom extension. The suspension track system with OPK engineering-grade organic material pulleys ensures weight-bearing capacity + smooth, noise-free sliding across the ultra-slim profile. Sunroom pyramid glass roof + full glass walls added 30% usable living area to each townhouse.

Key Product Features

  • Ultra-slim 1.8mm profile — nearly frameless from interior
  • OPK German-engineered organic-material pulleys (whisper-quiet)
  • Full hidden-frame minimalist design
  • Quick-release track cover for maintenance access
  • Sunroom adds 30% usable living area
  • Insect screens mount either side without interfering with track

Architect's Recommendation: For luxury townhouse projects where sight-line aesthetics are the primary spec-driver, the 1.8mm slim profile is essential — the 2.0mm looks noticeably thicker. Do not, however, spec 1.8mm for openings wider than 4m; go to 2.0mm or split into more panels. For sunrooms, the 120mm systematic frame is mandatory for structural load on the roof.

"Buyers touring the show units always paused at the panoramic doors — the way the aluminum almost vanishes against the bamboo garden. It became the emotional hook of the sales conversation."
